OLIVE OIL: The chemical structure of olive oil is the most similar to that of the skins natural oil. This therefore has a deeply moisturising effect on the skin and is commonly found in many skin care products for this reason.
COCONUT OIL: This is high in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids which moisturise the skin. It also makes for a nice hard long lasting bar of soap.
SHEA BUTTER: Best known for its moisturising qualities, it's also high in Vitamin A which helps rejuvenate skin cells. It also stimulates skin growth making it ideal for stretch marks.
MACADAMIA OIL: Rich in Palmitoleic Acids which are vital for the delaying on skin and cell aging. This is because as skin ages the level of palmitoleic acid decreases
AVACADO OIL: High in Sterolin, which studies show facilitate the softening of the skin. Also rich in proteins and antioxidants making it ideal for skin healing.
HONEY: Natures antiseptic. Great for the skin to help banish break outs.
XANTHUM GUM: This is in fact a natural Polysaccharide and is often used as a food additive. Its derives from the Xanthomonas Campestris bacterium which is made from the fermentation of sucrose. This is used in our products to help stabilise the different oils and emulsify the product.
STEARIC ACID: This is a naturally occurring fatty acid. Commonly found in vegetable oils. It is a combination of glycerol and acid. Other acids found are Oleic and Lauric acids which are great to keep moisture locked into the skin.
POTASSIUM CITRATE: This is the salt of the citric acid, commonly found in citrus fruits such as lemons. This can even be taken as a supplement to aid healthy muscles and nerves.
PHENOXYETHANOL: This ingredient is commonly used in cosmetic products as a safe replacement for Parabens. It is used to stabALlise and preserve the products and can be found naturally in green tea and chicory.
